Can a perfect world ever be realized?

What is utopia? Stay with me a minute while we get technical ok...

Utopia literally means: no place

"Sir Thomas More (1477 - 1535) was the first person to write of a 'utopia', a word used to describe a perfect imaginary world. More's book imagines a complex, self-contained community set on an island, in which people share a common culture and way of life. He coined the word 'utopia' from the Greek ou-topos meaning 'no place' or 'nowhere'. It was a pun - the almost identical Greek word eu-topos means 'a good place'. So at the very heart of the word is a vital question: can a perfect world ever be realised?"

Characteristics of a Utopian Society - A place, state, or condition that is ideally perfect in respect of politics, laws, customs, and conditions.

• Information, independent thought, and freedom are promoted.

• A figurehead or concept brings the citizens of the society together, but not treated as singular.

• Citizens are truly free to think independently.

• Citizens have no fear of the outside world.

• Citizens live in a harmonious state.

• The natural world is embraced and revered.

• Citizens embrace social and moral ideals. Individuality and innovation are welcomed.

• The society evolves with change to make a perfect utopian world.

Perfect

Perfect means completely free from faults or defects, or as close to such a condition as possible.

I Strive For

I am creating a space where I can grow, learn, realize and share what my "Utopia" is within each given moment of my life. Life is not perfect, our situations are often far from perfect and we are certainly no where near perfect people. But we can certainly live as close to such a condition as possible.

"Who or what are we living for?

We are given this one moment in time to live it to the fullest. So let's honor this gift by doing so with the utmost compassion, love, and kindness for ourselves and those around us." ~ TMA

My Plan

Revamp (put into some modern thoughts and terms when needed) what started with Sir Thomas More and those who followed and come up with what will bring me closest to such a condition as possible as perfect.

The Originals:
• Information, independent thought, and freedom are promoted.

• A figurehead or concept brings the citizens of the society together, but not treated as singular.

• Citizens are truly free to think independently.

• Citizens have no fear of the outside world.

• Citizens live in a harmonious state.

• The natural world is embraced and revered.

• Citizens embrace social and moral ideals. Individuality and innovation are welcomed.

• The society evolves with change to make a perfect utopian world.

For myself I will start with these and expand on them in my own ways. Living a life that is connected, truthful, one with purpose and quality. Grasping, processing and owning each moment when I can understand what is happening or learning and growing with the moments that make me shake my head.
