My 60-Day Journey:
"I AM" Motivation Cards
&
Meditating on God's Word

Lately, I have been in a rut when it came to my physical activity, interacting with people, and creativity. My girlfriend reached out to check on me and reminded me about these amazing cards I have.  Elise Joan Fitness created the Barre Blend Workout “I AM” Daily Motivation cards with her favorite words of affirmation to help you realize your full potential. I sat on it for a few days before digging them out and decided that this morning was the day. 
I picked up my random card, I AM creative, and logged on to listen to the corresponding meditation but at the moment I felt that I needed more.  So I pulled out my dusty bible and found out what God's word said about my word for the day.  It rekindled a small spark of joy that has been missing lately and I am committing to completing the deck which has 60 cards. I will be diving into the daily motivation and how I can reconnect with God in that word. 

Week 1

Day 1
I AM - creative
I tap into my imagination and design my own unique path.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
God has made everything beautiful for its own time.  He has planted eternity in the human heart.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship.  Created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so we would walk in them.

Our creativity is a gift from God and we should share our gift with the world.



Day 2
I AM - peaceful
I feel tranquil and quiet in body and mind.

Peace is seen in the bible 429 times in the KJV and 250 times in the NIV. 
The NIV substitutes different words for peace to be safety, silence, quiet rest, still, treaty, satisfy, ease, and fellowship.

In the bible peace is used in 5 different ways:
1. peace as the absence of war or chaos
2. peace as a right relationship with God or with Christ
3. peace as a good relationship among people
4.  peace as an individual virtue or state, that is, tranquillity or serenity
5. peace as part of a greeting formula

Isaiah 32:18
“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.”

A heart at peace gives life to the body...

I love how Audrey writes about putting it all together. "The peace of God is different from the peace of the world. Biblical peace is more than just the absence of conflict; it is taking action to restore a broken situation. It’s more than a state of inner tranquility; it’s a state of wholeness and completeness."


Day 3
I AM - adventurous
I enjoy new experiences and am willing to take chances.

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” Helen Keller
It is simply being who we truly are without concerning ourselves with whether anyone else approves.
It means trying the things we would love to try. It's doing the things that our souls want to do. 

When it comes to the bible, we are asked to step out in faith and take a risk with God by doing something we wouldn't normally do, that we would fail without having him by our side.   Adventurous is also seen as curious, bold, courageous, and unusual.  Curiosity is the desire to learn and gain wisdom, understanding, and insight which is an invaluable part of our lives.

John 20:29
“Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe”


Proverbs 4:4-9
“Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.  Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.  Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you.  The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight.  Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.  She will place on your head a fair garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”

Day 4
I AM - relaxed
I know that replenishment is key to a healthy life.

Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Psalm 62:5
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God: my hope comes from him.”

Psalms 116:7
"Relax, because the Lord takes care of you."



Day 5
I AM - limitless
I remove my self-inflicted boundaries to reach my fullest potential.

Limitless: having no ends; boundless, unrestricted, and unmeasured.

John 10:10 - He is a LIMITLESS God, and in Him we can have a limitless life, and that more abundantly.

Psalms 147:5
"Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite."‬‬

Ephesians 3:19
"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."


Day 6
I AM - fearless
I dive into life with boldness and freedom.

2 Timothy 1:7
The spirit of God does not make us timid.

1 John 4:16-17
There is no fear in love

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong! Be fearless! Don't be afraid and don't be scared by your enemies,
because the LORD your God is the one who marches with you. He won't let you down, and he won't abandon you.

Proverbs 31:25
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future.

Matthew 6:26-27 & 33-34
Worrying won't add a moment to your life.  Each day has enough trouble of its own

I especially love this verse as I often feel the deep groanings that leave me speechless and unable to find the words:
Romans 8:26
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."



Day 7
I AM - evolving
I celebrate growth and change.

Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.

2 Peter 1:7
and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection,
[develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit].

2 Cor 12:19
You are imagining, all this time, that we are making our defense at your bar. In reality,
it is as in God's presence and in communion with Christ that we speak; but, dear friends, it is all with a view to your progress in goodness.

To evolve is to develop, unfold, progress, and grow throughout life to better understand yourself and those around you.


Week 2

Day 8
I AM - ready
I can handle anything life throws at me.

The Bible shows the word ready occurs 542 times. 
apt, skillful, suitably equipped, prepared mentally or physically for some experience or action.

Day 9
I AM - ambitious
I set high goals for myself and achieve them purposefully.

We can pursue humble ambition or selfish ambition.

Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Proverbs 21:21
Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.

Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Ephesians 6:7-8
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,
because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands,
just as we told you,  so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.


Day 10
I AM - aligned
My thoughts, words, and actions reflect my truth.

Matthew 17:17-21 

 Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and rebellious generation! How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.”  Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and from that moment the boy was healed.  Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we drive it out? ” “Because of your little faith,” He told them. “For I assure you: If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.  However, this kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting. ”

Prayer connects you to God and fasting disconnects you from the world.


Day 11
I AM -  empowered
I know my worth and lead with vitality.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

God empowered Gideon to save Israel from the very ones who oppressed him and the Israelites. God chose someone who actively but privately sought progress in the middle of depressing conditions. Gideon didn’t realize who he was due to his environment, but the Angel declared him a brave man who the LORD was with!

Day 12
I AM -  positive
I think good thoughts and attract good things into my life.

Proverbs 18:20
The positive words that a man speaks fill his stomach; he will be satisfied with what his lips produce.

2 Thessalonians 1:5 - Thanksgiving for Faith and Perseverance
This is a positive proof of the righteous judgment of God [a sign of His fair verdict],
so that you will be considered worthy of His kingdom, for which indeed you are suffering.


Day 13
I AM - adaptable
I accept changes and can adjust to any situation.

1 Corinthians 10:31-33
So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God.  Do not offend Jews or Greeks or even the church of God [but live to honor Him];  just as I please everyone in all things [as much as possible adapting myself to the interests of others], not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, so that they [will be open to the message of salvation and] may be saved.

Mark 4:14-20 - Parable of the Sower and Soils
The sower sows the word... And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil;
and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 - The Use of Spiritual Gifts
so that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the parts share the suffering; if one member is honored, all rejoice with it.


Day 14
I AM - committed
I understand the value of hard work and pursue my goals relentlessly.

Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Luke 23:46
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”
When he had said this, he breathed his last.

John 15:13
Commitment is not always convenient, it requires sacrifice, Christ sacrificed to bring us into the family of God.

Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.



Week 3

Day 15
I AM - triumphant
I celebrate all victories, big and small.

Romans 1:4
and [as to His divine nature] according to the Spirit of holiness was openly designated to be the Son of God with power
[in a triumphant and miraculous way] by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalm 20:6
Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed;He will answer him from His holy heaven with mighty victories from His right hand.

Deuteronomy 26:11
You will celebrate all the good things that the Lord your God has given you and your family, along with the Levites and the resident foreigners among you.

Day 16
I AM - Going to return to this - just taking care of myself and the curveballs of life right now.
