Lately, I have been in a rut when it came to my physical activity, interacting with people, and creativity. My girlfriend reached out to check on me and reminded me about these amazing cards I have. Elise Joan Fitness created the Barre Blend Workout “I AM” Daily Motivation cards with her favorite words of affirmation to help you realize your full potential. I sat on it for a few days before digging them out and decided that this morning was the day.
I picked up my random card, I AM creative, and logged on to listen to the corresponding meditation but at the moment I felt that I needed more. So I pulled out my dusty bible and found out what God's word said about my word for the day. It rekindled a small spark of joy that has been missing lately and I am committing to completing the deck which has 60 cards. I will be diving into the daily motivation and how I can reconnect with God in that word.
Day 8
I AM - ready
I can handle anything life throws at me.
The Bible shows the word ready occurs 542 times.
apt, skillful, suitably equipped, prepared mentally or physically for some experience or action.
Day 9
I AM - ambitious
I set high goals for myself and achieve them purposefully.
We can pursue humble ambition or selfish ambition.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Proverbs 21:21
Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Ephesians 6:7-8
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,
because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands,
just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
Day 10
I AM - aligned
My thoughts, words, and actions reflect my truth.
Matthew 17:17-21
Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and rebellious generation! How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and from that moment the boy was healed. Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we drive it out? ” “Because of your little faith,” He told them. “For I assure you: If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting. ”
Prayer connects you to God and fasting disconnects you from the world.
Day 11
I AM - empowered
I know my worth and lead with vitality.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
God empowered Gideon to save Israel from the very ones who oppressed him and the Israelites. God chose someone who actively but privately sought progress in the middle of depressing conditions. Gideon didn’t realize who he was due to his environment, but the Angel declared him a brave man who the LORD was with!
Day 12
I AM - positive
I think good thoughts and attract good things into my life.
Proverbs 18:20
The positive words that a man speaks fill his stomach; he will be satisfied with what his lips produce.
2 Thessalonians 1:5 - Thanksgiving for Faith and Perseverance
This is a positive proof of the righteous judgment of God [a sign of His fair verdict],
so that you will be considered worthy of His kingdom, for which indeed you are suffering.
Day 13
I AM - adaptable
I accept changes and can adjust to any situation.
1 Corinthians 10:31-33
So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God. Do not offend Jews or Greeks or even the church of God [but live to honor Him]; just as I please everyone in all things [as much as possible adapting myself to the interests of others], not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, so that they [will be open to the message of salvation and] may be saved.
Mark 4:14-20 - Parable of the Sower and Soils
The sower sows the word... And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil;
and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”
1 Corinthians 12:25-26 - The Use of Spiritual Gifts
so that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the parts share the suffering; if one member is honored, all rejoice with it.
Day 14
I AM - committed
I understand the value of hard work and pursue my goals relentlessly.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Luke 23:46
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”
When he had said this, he breathed his last.
John 15:13
Commitment is not always convenient, it requires sacrifice, Christ sacrificed to bring us into the family of God.
Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Day 15
I AM - triumphant
I celebrate all victories, big and small.
Romans 1:4
and [as to His divine nature] according to the Spirit of holiness was openly designated to be the Son of God with power
[in a triumphant and miraculous way] by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
Psalm 20:6

Deuteronomy 26:11
You will celebrate all the good things that the Lord your God has given you and your family, along with the Levites and the resident foreigners among you.
